Bremen, with 570,000 inhabitants, is a paradoxical city — the smallest of Germany's federal states (city-state), but one of the strongest industrial nodes in northern Germany. Mercedes-Benz Werk Bremen produces the C-class, E-class convertible and the EQE (the newest electric mid-class). Airbus Defence and Space Bremen is the home base for the Columbus space module (ESA) and Cygnus (NASA cargo). OHB SE is the systems integrator for Galileo satellites.
We don't yet operate in Bremen or its Bundesland
In Bremen itself and in the broader Bundesland we haven't yet completed a project under a full client name. That's honest information up front — northern German aerospace and military industrial geography is a segment we haven't yet directly broken into. Our German projects are spread across more southern and central Bundesländer (Bayern, BW, NRW, Niedersachsen, Saxony, Hesse, Saxony-Anhalt via Crock), but we haven't yet delivered into the Hanseatic Bremen under a specific contract.
Mercedes-Benz Werk Bremen — C-class, E-class convertible, EQE
Mercedes-Benz Werk Bremen is the second-largest Mercedes production complex after Sindelfingen. They produce the Mercedes C-class (saloon + estate), E-class convertible, GLC, EQC (phasing out) and gradually the EQE. For an MPIS integrator typologically close via the `industry + automation` pillar — Sondermaschinenbau for small series of precision components, robotic integration in subassembly (KUKA, ABB, FANUC), MES rollout via Apriso, OPC UA backbone between lines.
The path to Mercedes-Bremen runs via the Mercedes-Benz audited supplier register, similar to Mercedes Werk Düsseldorf or Stuttgart. For us realistically via category C (administrative fit-outs, IT cabling) as a first step, then category B (cabinets, mechanical integration) when references from the injection world (Krauss-Maffei, Rehau, Engel) show the typological match.
Airbus Defence and Space Bremen — space modules
Airbus Defence and Space Bremen is the home base for space modules — the Columbus module (Europe's contribution to the ISS, integrated into the station in 2008), the Cygnus cargo module (Northrop Grumman / Airbus joint venture for NASA cargo transport to the ISS), the Bartolomeo platform (external science carrier on the Columbus module). For an MPIS integrator this is an extremely specific segment — space-qualified components, clean production zones ISO 5/6/7, ESD protection protocol at cell-level.
For peripheral tasks within administrative and IT zones plus mechanical subassembly service (assembly stands for integration, supporting special-purpose machines for subsystem testing) we're reachable via the `vacuum-mechatronic-de` reference from Bayern (HV/UHV vacuum chambers — typologically matched with test chambers for space qualification).
OHB SE — Galileo satellites
OHB SE has its headquarters in Bremen and is the prime integrator of Galileo satellites (Europe's GPS equivalent) plus a range of smaller systems for the European Space Agency ESA. For the `software-ai` pillar (HPC infrastructure for satellite-dynamics simulations, GPU clusters for image processing of satellite data, structured cabling in R&D zones) we're reachable via `ai-cluster-research-lab` from Cluj-Napoca.
ArcelorMittal Bremen — steel continuum
ArcelorMittal Bremen is an integrated steel mill with an electric arc furnace (EAF), similar to ArcelorMittal Hamburg. For `industry + electro` (ATEX zones, high-temperature environments, automation of production geography) we're typologically close via our Košice experience in the U. S. Steel orbit, but we don't have references in northern German steel. For administrative and IT zones plus peripheral refit projects we're deliverable.
Beck's Brauerei — export brewery
Beck's Brauerei (under AB InBev since 2002) is the best-known German export brewery — Beck's is probably the most-sold German beer brand outside Germany. For `industry + automation` (Sondermaschinenbau for packaging lines, AOI inspection, MES rollout via Apriso) we're typologically close via our experience from the injection-packaging world. The path to AB InBev runs via the Anheuser-Busch InBev global supplier register.
BremLBO + BetrSichV + DGUV V3
Building decisions in Bremen follow Bremische Landesbauordnung (BremLBO). Bremen is a city-state, so the LBO is relatively flexible for industrial fit-outs in the industrial port belt (Bremen-Industriehäfen, Bremerhaven), but stricter for buildings around the historic Hanseatic centre. Electrical installations follow VDE 0100, inspections DGUV V3, operational safety BetrSichV.
For port work, Hafenordnung Bremen (the specific port regulation for Bremen and Bremerhaven) adds, plus for space work specific ESA / NASA qualification protocols come in.
Conclusion — Bremen as a space-automotive plus steel prospect market
We track Bremen as a market with three specific entry vectors — Mercedes-Benz Werk Bremen (via the audited supplier register), Airbus Defence and Space / OHB (via space-qualified Tier-2 supplier chains), and Beck's / steel tier (via subcontractor model). From Prešov it's a 13–14 hour drive on D1 / A4 / A2 / A1, putting us in weekly to bi-weekly accommodation for most projects. For Bremen itself we don't yet operate directly, but with `vacuum-mechatronic-de` from Bayern and the broader German industrial orbit, we'd bring a typological match for the space and semiconductor segments.
