Hanover is the capital of Lower Saxony and also the place where in 2018 we delivered `km-hannover` — a service trip to Krauss-Maffei with 179 photos in the archive, mechanical work on an injection-moulding machine within the Hanover plant. For us Hanover is therefore not just another German destination — it's a city with concretely delivered work and a relationship with one of the most important clients in Germany.
KM Hannover 2018 — service trip
Krauss-Maffei has one of its key production sites for injection-moulding machines in Hanover. In 2018 we delivered a service trip there — mechanical work on an injection-moulding machine that required intervention outside the standard maintenance cycle. 179 photos document the state before the work, the course of dismantling necessary components, mechanical intervention, and the state after completion with handover to the client. Service trips of this type are an important profile for us — smaller in scope than complete dismantling or assembly of a machine, but technically more demanding because they require more precise diagnostics and precision intervention while the other lines remain in operation.
What the Krauss-Maffei relationship as a whole taught us: we travel regularly, we have our own tools and our own methodology of marking and photographic documentation, and we can work to Krauss-Maffei internal procedures without needing ad-hoc training. We developed this relationship in 2018–2019 through parallel projects in Munich (dismantling + assembly), Köngen (dismantling) and Neureichenau (assembly).
EDEKA Rastede 2022 — cabling for retail
In 2022 in Rastede (Niedersachsen, 130 km north-west of Hanover) we delivered `edeka-boese-rastede` — IT cabling for the EDEKA Böse store via the Cancom IT division (12 photos in the archive). That's a different type of contract from the Krauss-Maffei world — retail fit-out, structured cabling for POS terminals, network infrastructure for store operating, integration into the global EDEKA IT environment. Our joint project with Cancom in Augsburg (`edeka-fabig-cancom`) was typologically matched. Cancom as a subcontractor IT integrator for German retail is an important door-opener for us — when Cancom nominated us into EDEKA Böse, the path also opened to their other projects in the Niedersachsen orbit.
Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge — commercial vehicles
Volkswagen Nutzfahrzeuge in Hanover-Stöcken produces the Volkswagen Caddy, Multivan, Transporter and ID.Buzz (electric van). For `industry + automation` (Sondermaschinenbau, robotic integration, MES rollout) we're typologically close — our KraussMaffei + Engel + Wittmann experience in injection moulding of packaging and interior plastics fits precisely into their supplier chain. The path to VW Nutzfahrzeuge runs via the VW Konzernstandard audited supplier register — for us realistically via the subcontracting chain (local Tier-1s like ZF Friedrichshafen, Continental Automotive, Bosch Automotive Steering).
Continental AG — tyres and ContiTech
Continental has its global headquarters plus production in Hanover (notably Continental Premium-Contact tyres, ContiTech traction and transport belts). For `industry + electro` (Sondermaschinenbau for conveyor systems, automation of production geography, structured cabling and IT infrastructure in R&D zones) we're typologically close. Continental is comparable to the Bosch client profile in terms of size and complexity — audited supplier register, long-term investment for entry, strict reporting and quality systems.
TUI Group and Hannover Messe
TUI Group has its global travel-services headquarters in Hanover (Tier-1 travel aggregator). For an MPIS integrator it's relevant via the `software-ai` pillar (web apps, mobile apps, integrations into GDS systems like Amadeus). That's a segment where we have a typological match, but it's not our primary pole.
Hannover Messe is the largest industrial trade fair in Europe — annually in April (with online formats between pandemic years). For us Messe is an important place where German clients meet global suppliers — physical participation in Messe is an investment that would open new demand waves.
Sennheiser Wedemark — audio
Sennheiser has its global headquarters and main production in Wedemark (15 km north of Hanover) — microphones, headphones, wireless audio systems. For `industry + automation` (Sondermaschinenbau for small series of precision audio products, AOI / X-ray inspection of soldered joints, MES tracking of every microphone genealogy) we're typologically close via our Embraco / Nidec references from Košice (compressor precision production with leak detection at ppm level).
NBauO + BetrSichV + DGUV V3
Building decisions in Lower Saxony follow Niedersächsische Bauordnung (NBauO). Compared to other German Bundesländer, NBauO has a relatively pragmatic regime for industrial fit-outs. Electrical installations follow VDE 0100, inspections DGUV V3, operational safety BetrSichV.
Conclusion — Hanover as a proven German node
Hanover is for us a proven German node — we have one direct project here from 2018 (`km-hannover`) plus the neighbouring EDEKA Rastede from 2022. For a new Hanover demand we can mobilise within five working days with full A1 documentation and our own tools. From Prešov it's a 12-hour drive via D1 / A4 / A2, meaning weekly accommodation for most projects. For the `industry` pillar (especially the KraussMaffei world) we're one of the proven partners here. For `automation`, `electro` and `data centres` in the Hanover orbit we bring references from the broader German market.
