Łódź is a traditional textile city that over the past thirty years has transformed into a production centre for white goods and IT hardware — BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego as the Polish division of Bosch+Siemens, Indesit + Whirlpool Polska for refrigerators and washing machines, Dell Technologies Manufacturing for HW assembly, Procter & Gamble for personal-care products. Łódzkie as a region is for an integrator with an **Industry + Automation** profile a segment where classic FMCG automation meets a growing IT/HW assembly specialisation.
BSH Łódź — Bosch+Siemens white goods
BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego (joint venture Bosch + Siemens, today 100% in Bosch's hands) operates in Łódź and the surrounding Pila the production of refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, dryers and induction hobs for the entire European market. For an integrator it's the FMCG white-goods segment with typical technical traits: high degree of automation of final assembly (pick-and-place robotics via ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa), MES integration via SAP MES or custom Bosch Production System (BPS), and continuous engineering change policy via engineering change management.
For refrigerators and freezers the relevant technical trait is the quality of final brazing of refrigeration circuits — R600a (propane) refrigerant leaks are a safety issue (flammable), and brazing quality has to pass AOI / X-ray inspection with parts-per-million leak detection. Our Košice project for Embraco/Nidec (compressor production for refrigerators) shows exactly this specialisation — leak detection, AOI/X-ray inspection, MES tracking of every compressor produced with full genealogy.
Indesit + Whirlpool Polska — refrigerators and washing machines
Indesit Polska (since 2014 in Whirlpool Corporation) operates production in Łódź and surrounding Radomsko of refrigerators, freezers, washing machines and dryers for the Central European market. After the Indesit acquisition, production capacities are being consolidated and modernised — that's a segment where integrator contracts open via line relocations, MES upgrades, and robotic integration for new product introduction (NPI) processes.
For us the relevant combination is **Industry + Automation** with NPI-friendly documentation and Whirlpool Global Manufacturing System (WGMS) audit framework.
Dell Technologies Manufacturing Poland — HW assembly
Dell operates in Łódź its largest European production and logistics hub for desktop PCs, monitors, and servers — Dell European Manufacturing & Fulfillment Operations. For an integrator Dell is interesting through the **Industry + Automation + Data Centres** combination. The HW assembly process requires precise robotic integration (Universal Robots, FANUC), ESD-safe environment (ESD floors, antistatic equipment), and a high degree of MES tracking with individual genealogy of every assembled unit. For internal Dell IT infrastructure (data centres for server testing, AI clusters for product validation) our specialisation in NVIDIA HGX and Slurm/Pyxis orchestration is relevant.
ESD compliance is strict here — Dell requires an IEC 61340-5-1 audit for the whole production environment, including special electrical installation (equipotential bonding for ESD), antistatic flooring with certified resistivity, and calibrated ESD monitoring equipment. That's a segment where our specialisation in PN-HD 60364 + N SEP-E-001 (earthing and protective measures) meets ESD-specific competence.
Procter & Gamble Łódź — personal-care products
P&G operates in Łódź and surrounding Aleksandrów Łódzki the production of personal-care products (Pampers, Always, Gillette) for the Central European market. For an integrator P&G is the FMCG packaging segment with typical traits — high degree of packaging automation, sanitary food/pharmaceutical environment for some product categories, and integration into the global P&G IDS (Integrated Demand & Supply) system.
Polmos Łańcut + Wyborowa Pernod Ricard — Łódzkie distilleries
The distillery segment in the Łódzkie region — Polmos Łańcut (Polish vodka) and Wyborowa Pernod Ricard (Wyborowa vodka, exported globally). For an integrator it's process industry with pressure equipment (brew kettles, distillation columns, compressors for CO2), meaning mandatory UDT certification. Our specialisation in the Heineken Browary Polski parallel segment (Krakow, Tarnów, Żywiec) fits without major competence transfer.
Our commuting relationship
From Prešov 6 hours by car on D1, A4 and A1. For Łódź we work Monday-to-Friday mode with accommodation. For quick site visits by air via KSC → LCJ (Łódź Władysław Reymont Airport) via Warsaw, point-to-point about 5 hours.
For Pila, Radomsko, Aleksandrów Łódzki, and the broader Łódzkie geography, we add 30–60 minutes of commute.
Which pillars fit best
For BSH Łódź — **Industry + Automation** with refrigeration specialisation (leak detection, AOI/X-ray inspection, MES genealogy), the parallel of our Košice project for Embraco/Nidec.
For Indesit + Whirlpool — **Industry + Automation + Electro** with NPI-friendly documentation.
For Dell Technologies Manufacturing — **Industry + Automation + Data Centres** with ESD compliance (IEC 61340-5-1) and NVIDIA HGX infrastructure for Dell internal R&D.
For P&G and Polmos/Wyborowa distilleries — **Automation + Industry** with UDT-compliant pressure equipment and FMCG packaging competence.
Conclusion
Łódź is for us a moderately attractive PL market — geographically moderately distant, segment-wise matching our specialisation in FMCG/white goods and HW assembly. Not yet a delivered project — actively looking for the first client in the BSH refrigeration orbit or in the Dell Manufacturing segment.
