Bydgoszcz is the capital of Kujawsko-Pomorskie — a central Polish region with a tradition of rail and aerospace industries, plus a growing IT shared services segment. For an integrator it's a lower-priority PL market, but with several technically interesting segments.
PESA Bydgoszcz — rail vehicles
PESA (Pojazdy Szynowe PESA) is Poland's largest manufacturer of rail vehicles — modern regional train sets, trams, hydrogen vehicles (PESA Hydrogen tram). For an integrator it's a classic transport engineering segment with typical traits: high automation of chassis welding (FANUC, ABB), high-voltage electrics for traction (3 kV DC or 25 kV AC), and complex MES integration for the genealogy of every vehicle.
For hydrogen vehicles the relevant areas are high-voltage battery and fuel-cell architecture plus pressure hydrogen systems with mandatory UDT certification — parallel to our Solaris Bus & Coach profile in Poznań.
Our specialisation in robotic integration, high-voltage electrical installation (EPL Db ATEX rating) and UDT-compliant pressure equipment has natural application here.
Atos Bydgoszcz — IT shared services
Atos Bydgoszcz is one of the largest IT shared services nodes in Central Europe — application management, infrastructure management, cybersecurity operations centre (SOC) for EU clients. For an integrator Atos is interesting through the **Data Centres + Software/AI** segment — internal compute cluster for cybersecurity workloads, AI infrastructure for managed services, and high-bandwidth networking for EU clients.
Our specialisation in NVIDIA HGX, Mellanox NDR and Slurm/Pyxis orchestration is naturally applicable here. The parallel of our `ai-cluster-research-lab` project from Cluj-Napoca.
Solbet Stalowa Wola Bydgoszcz — construction ceramics
Solbet produces autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) blocks with production capacities in Bydgoszcz. For an integrator it's a process industry with pressure equipment (autoclaves for AAC thermal treatment — mandatory UDT certification), dust ATEX zones for cement and lime dust, and complex logistics automation.
Mondi Świecie — paper and packaging
Mondi Świecie (40 km north of Bydgoszcz) is one of the largest Central European manufacturers of paper and packaging material — kraft paper, cardboard, paper-based packaging for FMCG. For an integrator it's a process paper industry with typical traits: high-temperature zones (drying cylinders at 180–200 °C), pressure equipment (digesters, boilers — mandatory UDT), and complex process automation via Siemens PCS 7 or ABB 800xA.
PZL-Świdnik Toruń — Leonardo Helicopters
PZL-Świdnik (since 2010 in Leonardo Helicopters) operates in nearby Toruń production of helicopters and aerospace components. For an integrator it's an aviation industry parallel to Aviation Valley Rzeszów — EASA Part-21 and Part-145 certification, precise calibration of measurement equipment, and integration into the global Leonardo Helicopters IT environment.
Our commuting relationship
From Prešov 8 hours by car — comparable to Poznań or Łódź. For Bydgoszcz we work Monday-to-Friday mode with accommodation. For quick site visits by air via KSC → BZG via Warsaw.
Conclusion
Kujawsko-Pomorskie and Bydgoszcz are for us a moderately distant PL market with several technically interesting segments — notably PESA Bydgoszcz (rail vehicles including hydrogen segment), Atos Bydgoszcz (IT shared services + AI infrastructure), and PZL-Świdnik Toruń (aerospace industry). Actively looking for the first client via these segments.
