Lelystad is the capital of Flevoland province — the newest Dutch province (created in 1986 from polders reclaimed from the Zuiderzee). For an integrator it's a small market with low density of large industrial operations, but with its own logistics and infrastructure niche.
Lelystad Airport and cargo
Lelystad Airport (LYE/EHLE) in 2026 is still in a transition regime — originally planned as a second passenger airport for Amsterdam (relieving Schiphol), but the opening of passenger operations has been repeatedly postponed due to environmental permits under Omgevingswet and the stikstof crisis (Raad van State decisions on nitrogen emission limits). In current operation it's primarily cargo and general aviation hub.
For an integrator that means a limited but specific opening. The cargo terminal needs: - Structured cabling for cargo handling systems - AV installations for the operations centre - Smart-building control for office and maintenance facilities - Preparation of IT infrastructure for the eventual launch of passenger operations
Entry is via Schiphol Group as Lelystad Airport operator, or via Lelystad Airport BV through direct tendering. For a Slovak supplier without Schiphol Partner pre-qualification, entry is via consortium with a Dutch tier-1 partner.
Inalfa Roof Systems
Inalfa Roof Systems in Bornem (Belgium) and in Lelystad is a global supplier of automotive roof systems — panoramic roofs, sun roofs, folding roofs. Clients: Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Ford, practically all major carmakers. For an integrator Inalfa is interesting via: - Automotive supplier ecosystem — IATF 16949 quality management - Robotic cell integration for assembly lines - Structured cabling in expansion halls - MES integration via IATF-compatible Apriso or other
This profile corresponds directly to our `automotive-injection-line` project (Bratislava, 2024) — injection line with integration of Engel, KraussMaffei and Yushin under Siemens TIA Portal and Ignition SCADA. For Inalfa expansion in Lelystad or refit of existing line, this is technologically directly transferable.
Q-Park International and parking systems
Q-Park International has its HQ in Maastricht (Limburg), but operations of parking systems in Lelystad. For an integrator it's a niche via: - ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) camera systems - OCPP-compatible EV charging stations (Wallbox, KEBA, ABB Terra, EV Box) - Smart parking IoT sensors - Integration of parking systems into urban smart-city infrastructure
Our specialisation in EV charging (`smart-mansion-loxone` project in Vienna, 2025 — Wallbox + OCPP) and in IoT sensors (`smart-mansion-loxone` — Zigbee2MQTT, Matter, Aqara) is technologically transferable to Q-Park infrastructure.
Voltkraft and energy
Voltkraft Lelystad is a smaller energy operator for local distribution. For an integrator it's a niche via the energy transformation — solar PV for Voltkraft sites, ESS (Energy Storage Systems) for demand response, integration into the TenneT TSO grid via Arnhem.
Our specialisation in solar PV / ESS (`off-grid-villa` project in Bled, 2025 — Victron Quattro + BYD Battery-Box Premium) is transferable here on a smaller scale.
Ten Cate Geosynthetics and polder infrastructure
Ten Cate Geosynthetics has operations in Almere (a city adjacent to Lelystad) and produces geotextiles and composite materials for the construction of polders, embankments, and infrastructure. For an integrator it's a niche via integration of the production line — material layout automation, quality inspection via machine vision (YOLO, SAM2, OpenCV), MES integration for production batch genealogy.
Our commuting relationship
Lelystad is from AMS Schiphol about 60 minutes by car. From Košice by air via AMS (about 2.5 h) plus 1 h transport. For projects in the Lelystad zone realistic accommodation 1 to 4 weeks; for smaller contracts (1-2 days) possibly also single trips.
By train from Amsterdam Centraal about 45 minutes by direct Intercity.
Which pillars fit best
For Inalfa Roof Systems automotive supplier — **Industry + Automation**. Robotic cell integration (KUKA, ABB, FANUC), MES integration via Apriso, IATF 16949-compatible documentation. Exactly in the spirit of our `automotive-injection-line` project.
For Q-Park parking infrastructure — **Smart Buildings + Software/AI**. ANPR camera systems, OCPP EV charging, IoT smart parking.
For Voltkraft and regional energy — **Smart Buildings** with focus on solar PV / ESS. For smaller local projects.
For Lelystad Airport cargo terminal — **Data Centres + Software/AI** within the tier-2 supplier program for Schiphol Group.
For Ten Cate Geosynthetics — **Automation + Software/AI**. Machine vision for quality inspection, MES integration.
