Seville is for us in Andalusia the main strategic node — headquarters of Airbus Defence and Space San Pablo, where the military transporter A400M is produced, and centre of the solar and biofuel cluster around Abengoa. From Prešov it's a 4.5-hour flight via VIE to SVQ Seville, with a stopover in Madrid or Barcelona. We have no overland commute — Seville is exclusively an air market.
Airbus Defence and Space San Pablo — A400M
Airbus DS San Pablo is the best-known aerospace plant in Spain — final assembly of the military transporter A400M, which delayed development by years but remained a key product of European defence industrial policy. For an integrator EASA Part-145 applies plus national SETSI (Sistema de Empresas Tecnológicas de Seguridad e Industria) authorisation of defence suppliers.
For us San Pablo is the same category as LOK Košice and Airbus Defence and Space Getafe in Madrid — for clean non-security zones (administrative, maintenance, strictly non-defence supplier work) we're realistically deliverable. For core aerospace workshops and aerospace cleanrooms SETSI clearance is required and a several-month onboarding, done only after the first confirmed client interest.
For the supplier orbit around San Pablo — manufacturers of composite structures, aerospace cabling, hydraulic systems — we're directly deliverable in the plane of Sondermaschinenbau, robotic-cell integration and structured cabling. Here Konzernstandard is replaced by Airbus Quality Management System (AQMS) with its own supplier audit geography.
Abengoa — solar energy and biofuels
Abengoa is historically the most significant ES player in concentrated solar power (CSP) and first- and second-generation biofuels. After financial restructuring in 2016-2020, the firm has been transformed but still holds a portfolio of CSP plants (Solúcar Platform near Sanlúcar la Mayor — the largest CSP complex in Europe) and bioethanol production capacity.
For an integrator with SiC power semi and wind farm controller expertise, Abengoa is interesting via a parallel segment — solar fields with parabolic troughs and central towers have their own regulatory geography (high heat-transfer fluid temperature, special fluid handling, integration with the national grid via REE — Red Eléctrica de España). Here we're in a pre-engagement phase — without a delivered CSP project we don't have a direct reference, but transferable competencies from SCADA for wind and PV systems are essentially the same.
Heineken España Seville, Acerinox Los Barrios
Heineken España has in Seville one of the largest brewing operations in southern Europe. For an integrator that means industrial automation — brew panels, fermentation tanks, filling into kegs and bottles, packaging logistics. This is the same type of work as Embraco/Nidec Košice on the final QC and leak detection side: precise process control, MES tracking of each batch genealogy, integration of AOI inspection for packaging.
Acerinox Los Barrios (Cádiz province, 200 km from Seville) is a producer of stainless steels — a client type comparable to U. S. Steel Košice. Here we're realistically deliverable for administrative and IT zones, maintenance refit projects and smaller ATEX zones, but for core metallurgical work we specialise via subcontractor model.
Renault Trucks Seville
Renault Trucks Seville is a manufacturer of cabs for trucks. For us it's a pure automotive supplier orbit — Sondermaschinenbau, robotic integration, press shop, welding robots. Konzernstandard here is replaced by Renault SAS Quality Manual with its own supplier audit geography.
Regulatory framework — Andalusia
Andalusia operates under the national REBT (RD 842/2002), UNE-HD 60364 and UNE-EN 60204-1. For ATEX peripheral refinery sites transposition of 2014/34/EU via RD 144/2016. Junta de Andalucía adds a regional authorisation layer — Industria, Energía y Minas, equipment registration via Boletín Oficial Junta de Andalucía. For building permits CTE plus Andalusian implementing decree.
For solar fields and CSP plants additionally regulation of connection to REE via procedimientos de operación 14 and 17 — this is a specific layer that for an integrator means mandatory consultation with the national grid operator before commissioning.
Posted Workers — REC + Andalusia
For work in Andalusia we need A1 plus comunicación de desplazamiento via REC (5 days in advance). For Junta de Andalucía regulation no additional copy is mandatory, but some large clients (Airbus DS, Acerinox) require an internal audit via their own compliance portal.
Our commuting relationship
For Seville we work exclusively by air with accommodation for 1 to 6 weeks. For San Pablo (15 km from the centre) accommodation typically in Carmona or Mairena del Aljarafe. For Sanlúcar la Mayor (Abengoa Solúcar) transport by car 25 km from accommodation.
Which pillars fit best
For Airbus DS San Pablo and aerospace supplier orbit — **Industry + Automation** via Sondermaschinenbau and robotic-cell integration. We address SETSI clearance only after the first confirmed contact.
For Abengoa, solar cluster and renewable energy — **Electro + Automation** with focus on SCADA for CSP and PV systems, REE-compliant connection, SiC power semi inverter integration.
For Heineken, Renault Trucks and process production — **Industry + Automation** with focus on final QC, leak detection, MES tracking of genealogy.
Conclusion
In Seville we're in an active acquisition phase. The renewable energy cluster with Abengoa and aerospace supplier work around Airbus DS San Pablo we consider primary opened segments. For the first Andalusian client we're ready with a rolling-team regime and a two-week minimum scope.
