The Zlín Region carries the industrial DNA of Tomáš Baťa — since 1894, when Baťa founded the shoe enterprise in Zlín, an industrial cluster with a very distinct character has developed here: rubber (Continental Barum + Mitas/Trelleborg in Otrokovice — the largest tyre production centre in CZ), aerospace engineering (Aircraft Industries Kunovice with the iconic L-410 Turbolet), engineering (Tajmac-ZPS, CNC machining centres), and packaging (Greiner Packaging Slušovice). For an integrator that means a clientele working with heavy rotating industry and precision engineering in the same geography.
Continental Barum Otrokovice — tyres in the top-10 global producers' ranking
Continental Barum in Otrokovice (15 km south of Zlín) is the largest tyre producer in CZ and one of the largest Continental Group plants in Europe. Annual production exceeds 25 million tyres — passenger, light commercial, and special segments. For an integrator the rubber industry is defined by a specific environment: high temperatures in mixing lines (up to 200 °C), vulcanisation presses with pressures around 25 bar, and rotating mills with rotors weighing tens of tonnes.
For us Continental Barum is an environment close to our delivered `continental-puchov` project (2025, Slovakia — electrical fitout of a new Continental production hall in Púchov). Substation, 14-metre cable runs, integration of a production hall into the existing Continental MES — that's exactly the type of work technologically directly transferable to Otrokovice. Continental as a global customer has a unified supplier process (Continental Quality Management System) and the hardware/software stack is consistent across plants — ABB switchgear, Schneider cabinets, Siemens TIA Portal for PLC, Wonderware for MES, Cisco for IT backbone.
Alongside Continental Barum, Otrokovice also hosts Mitas (in the hands of Trelleborg Group since 2016) — a manufacturer of off-road tyres for agricultural, construction and special applications. A different segment from Continental (off-road requires more massive structures and larger dimensions), but the same physical ritual — vulcanisation, mills, calenders.
Aircraft Industries Kunovice — L-410 Turbolet and small aircraft production
Aircraft Industries in Kunovice (50 km south of Zlín, crossing the border into the JM Region) is a manufacturer of turboprop aircraft L-410 Turbolet (short-haul passenger aircraft for 19 people) and its L-420 variant. Since 1969 more than 1,200 L-410 units have been produced and they are still in active operation in dozens of countries (notably CIS countries, Africa, Latin America). The current owner is Russia's Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC) — meaning that due to sanctions after 2022 the plant has been through significant restructuring and the current production status is variable.
For an integrator the aerospace environment is defined by AS9100 (aerospace QMS), Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for every component, and EASA Part-21 certification. For a supplier of subassemblies (for example CNC-machined aluminium components for landing gear or fuselage sections) it's a long onboarding with full audit pre-qualification. For peripheral work (administrative IT, warehouses, hangar electrical installations) we're realistically deliverable.
Tajmac-ZPS — CNC machining centres
Tajmac-ZPS in Zlín is a manufacturer of CNC machining centres (multi-spindle automats, lathes, milling centres). For an integrator it means an atypical environment — we ourselves are integrators of CNC machines at clients, here we're the supplier to the machine manufacturer itself. That means: subcontracting electric panel building (EPLAN documentation, Rittal cabinets, Phoenix Contact + Wago terminals), subcontracting cabling and optical backbone for internal production, or IT/MES integration.
Greiner Packaging Slušovice — plastic packaging
Greiner Packaging in Slušovice (10 km north-west of Zlín) is a producer of plastic packaging for the food and cosmetics industries — yogurt cups, butter tubs, coffee capsules. For an integrator it's classic injection-moulding production — Engel, KraussMaffei, Arburg, Wittmann stack. Our `automotive-injection-line` project (Bratislava, 2024) is technologically identical (just a different product — automotive interior parts instead of food packaging).
Our commuting relationship
From Prešov to Zlín is 3 hours' drive on the D1 via Žilina. **The Zlín Region is in our extended commuting zone — comparable to Olomouc and Moravian-Silesian.** For Zlín we operate on a one-day or two-day rhythm without overnight stays.
